International Day of Forests: Harnessing Innovation for a Sustainable Future
Every year on March 21st, the International Day of Forests celebrates the vital role that forests play in sustaining life on Earth. This year’s theme, “Innovation: New Solutions for a Better World,” highlights the importance of harnessing innovation to address the pressing challenges facing our forests and to promote their sustainable management and conservation.
Forests are among the most biologically diverse ecosystems on the planet, providing habitat for countless species of plants, animals, and microorganisms. They also play a crucial role in regulating the global climate, storing carbon, purifying air and water, and preventing soil erosion.
